The first ever AWD Dodge Challenger Concept! Some people put their RWD Challengers to winter sleep, but MOPAR have prepared an all-weather all wheel drive Challenger and Charger for the all-year-long MOPAR fun. They did it by pairing 4×4 system from a Police Charger with an 8-speed automatic gearbox from Chrysler 300. Wide body is slammed low, big brakes, stiffer chassis and 5.7 HEMI V8 with the Scat Pack 3 upgrade mean 515 horses and 494 TQ. The same setup ould be found under the Dodge Charger Deep Stage 3 show car too.
It was first presented to the public at SEMA 2015. SEMA is about showing off crazy unthinkable designs and new aftermarket parts, but the AWD Dodge Challenger Concept is something else. It touches very close to reality while also remaining very far under the halo realm of concept cars.
Basically, the AWD Dodge Challenger is a Challenger equipped with the Scat Pack 3 Performance Kit, the eight-speed automatic transmission, and a new prototype Mopar suspension kit that lowers and stiffens up the car on every corner. The 5.7-Hemi V8 used in this concept puts out about 450 horsepower, which should be more than enough for some proper winter madness.
What do you think about this? Do you like the idea of an AWD Dodge Challenger or they’re good with the RWD? I personally like this idea, because those who live where winter is tough, wouldn’t worry about that anymore. I wonder if it makes it to production!
