2017 Aston Martin DB11 made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, sporting an amazing new look. This is what brings the British automaker into the brand new era in the auto world we are yet to witness.
The 2017 Aston Martin DB11 speaks the same familiar design language ( at least when it comes to luxury!) as its predecessors. Yet, it is still somewhat different. Well, it seems that this time, the car in question may be more than just a pretty face. The 2017 Aston Martin DB11 is as unique as a fingerprint.
The interior is sumptuous and the slick multimedia system is there. Moreover, the company claims that this is the most powerful DB to date. This car is a golden opportunity to reinvent the brand that features radical changes. But, do we really want something like that to happen?
Let’s start with what might many considered the bad news. The naturally aspired V12 engine won’t be making the transition to the brand new 2017 Aston Martin DB11. That engine has powered the company’s larger products since 2003 and it seems that its days of glory have come to an end. It will retire and will never be heard of again.
However, the good news is that the 2017 Aston Martin DB11 doesn’t follow the trend of reduced cylinder count. Aston Martin will keep the V12; in case a new twin-turbocharger appears from somewhere. The only thing that the new 5.2-;iter V12 will have in common with the old 5.9-liter engine are the bore centers. Aston Martin promises that everything that we see on the 2017 Aston martin DB11 will be brand new. The engine that will power the DB11 will probably produce up to 600 HP ( 60 hp more that the DB9 GT). This is supposed to help potential buyers get over the fact that the old naturally aspired engine is gone. Well, good luck. In addition, this engine will produce 516 lb-ft of torque, again, more than on the previous model.
Namely, the 2017 Aston Martin DB11 will cost $214,820 in the U.S. The company does have a viable future and let’s hope that this particular model will bring it the needed successes.
